Sheriff's Office

The Powder River County Sheriff’s Office has an opening for a Deputy Sheriff.

Starting salary will be $18.54 per hour. Powder River County is an equal opportunity employer. Powder River County offers health insurance that the employee can add vision and dental to the policy. Employees earn vacation and sick leave. Deputies work rotating 10-hour shifts including weekends and holidays. Deputies are required to conduct general patrol activities, criminal investigations, court security and detention. Deputies are also Deputy Coroners. Deputies must be able to work closely with the public. Deputies are required to submit reports in a timely manner.

Qualifications: Must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years old, not be convicted of a crime for which a person could be imprisoned in a federal or state penitentiary, be of good moral character, as determined by a thorough background investigation, have a high school diploma or have been issued a high school equivalency diploma and possess or be eligible for a valid Montana driver’s license. Must be able to pass a physical and mental evaluation. POST certified applicants are preferred but not required. If an applicant is hired that is not POST certified, they will be required to complete the Montana Law Enforcement Academy within 1 year

HEALTHCARE MEDICAL ADMINISTRATOR/CEO

Powder River County is seeking a Healthcare Medical Administrator/CEO. Must have or be able to obtain a Montana Administrator License and have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, experience is appreciated. Qualifications must include good communication skills, ability to lead, and ability to work as a team. Job Duties would include administering the nursing home, clinic, and aid in the setup of a potential critical access hospital. Salary is based on experience. Nursing Home-Director of Nursing

Powder River Manor has an exciting opening on their team for a Director of Nursing.  Qualified applicant must be a Registered Nurse and possess skills to lead our 41 Bed Skilled Nursing Facilty.  Candidates must possess strong leadership and administrative skills, must be dependable, and a self-starter.  Experience in long term care, especially Medicare, is preferred but is not required.  Salary based upon experience.  Application can be found below or at the Clerk and Recorder's Office.

Road Department:
